EXAMPLE OF A DETAILED DAY TO DAY TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1: Sunday

Arrive to Cape Town International airport and get picked up by a rep from the Farmhouse Fitness team. Once arriving to Farmhouse Fitness take your time to unpack, settle into your room and maybe even have a quick lay in the sun and take a cooling swim in the indoor swimming pool or head over to the gym for some post-airplane-stretching? This is a great opportunity for you to get familiar with the villa as well as the other participants before sitting down and having dinner together. During the dinner we will do a proper introduction of each and every one and you will be provided with useful information regarding your stay at Farmhouse Fitness. This evening calls for an early bed time so that you can catch up on any lost sleep and get ready for your upcoming adventure.

Day 2: Monday

Your first full day at Farmhouse Fitness. Breakfast will be served from 8 o’clock and for any late arrivals this will be the opportunity to get repeated information regarding your stay at Farmhouse Fitness. Following breakfast we will head to the gym for our first workout together. The workouts will vary from day to day and week to week, this means we never know what we are up for. All we know is we can expect something fun and challenging (all workouts are scalable and suitable for all fitness levels).

After our first workout is done and dusted and before lunch is served we again have some time to settle in or/and come with for a walking tour to explore our closest surroundings. Lunch is served by noon and as soon as we are done we will be on our way to our first adventure: The famous Lion’s Head Hike in city center of Cape Town!

Your day will be concluded with a classic South African BBQ dinner (braai) under the stars around the bonfire.

Day 3: Tuesday

There are few things more exhilarating than getting up close and personal with one of the planets most fearsome predators; the Great White. Dyer Island in Gansbaai is arguably one of the best places in the world to get up close with the white sharks so that is exactly where we will be heading. The shark cage dive is almost a full day adventure so leaving straight after breakfast means getting back in the afternoon. Once back at Farmhouse Fitness we will head to the gym and do a workout together before finishing off the day by enjoying a healthy and recharging dinner.

Day 4: Wednesday

No better way to start your 4th day than with breakfast followed by another workout followed by lunch, with some time for chilling in between. After an easy yet effective morning we head down to beach for the first time for some surfing! When it comes to surfing, Cape Town is in the unique position of offering surfers great surfing conditions in every direction, virtually all year round. This adventure is for first timers, advanced levels and everything in between. However, if you don’t fancy a lesson on a board amongst the waves you can still keep active and be at the beach at the same time. For those not keen on surfing there will be a fun and sandy beach workout presented. The day will wrap up with an evening you don’t want to miss back at the villa!

Day 5: Thursday

By your fifth day your body should be quite sore and tired, so why not giving it what it needs; a day of rest! An early early start to the day will allow you to get a taste of the African wildlife on a safari-trip to one of the best Private Game Reserves in the Western Cape region. Elephants, giraffes, rhinos, lions, zebras and many more amazing animals can be spotted throughout this day and is a must do tour if you have only seen these animals on TV or in a zoo before. What better way of resting your body than this?

Day 6: Friday

Breakfast, workout & lunch. You know the routine by now. The afternoon will be spent on a trip to Stellenbosch to experience some of the best wine farms in the world. Ask anyone you meet what they know about Cape Town, and you’re likely to hear “wine” among the first few responses. This trip will make you understand why. After the wine tasting there will be an option of either getting back to Farmhouse Fitness for dinner, or stick around in Stellenbosch if interested in exploring the restaurants and potentially even the nightlife that this crowded student town has to offer.

Day 7: Saturday

This will be your last full day at Farmhouse Fitness and we have purposely saved one of Cape Towns most flat and iconic highlights for your last adventure, that’s right, we are talking about Table Mountain. Leaving straight after breakfast (weekend breakfast is one hour later than usual for your convenience) with our backpacks packed with a picknick lunch we head in to the city center of Cape Town and Table Mountain. Once at the foot of the mountain there is two options for going up (as well as down). 1. Hiking with your own power up to the top or 2. Going by cable car up. Either way you choose to do it, once at the top, find yourself a nice spot and enjoy your lunch with the most beautiful views of the city.

Similar to the day before there will be transport taking you back to Farmhouse Fitness for an additional workout and dinner, or grab the opportunity of staying in Cape Town to do some sight seeing, have dinner and if interested, potentially also explore the nightlife.

Day 8: Sunday

The time has already come to an end and unfortunately this is where we have to say good-bye. Enjoy the last breakfast with your friends prior to check out and if you are getting on a long flight later on the same day it might be a good idea to prepare by going to the gym for a few exercises.

Day 8: Sunday

It is Sunday and we are heading to a fun and lively food market. This market is well worth a visit not only due to all the delectable food, handmade wares and art, but because of the beautiful and relaxing environment. The market’s superb wine collection, in house craft beer and local artists providing live music contribute to the festive atmosphere. This is the perfect place for a chill Sunday morning/noon and one can easily spend a couple of hours here. Once back at Farmhouse Fitness we enjoy another fun workout together.

Day 9: Monday

Starting the day with breakfast and training we will be leaving Farmhouse Fitness for an adventure in the company of soaring eagles. Zip Lining! This eco-tour with 13 elevated platforms and slides up to 320 meters as well as a suspension bridge over a double waterfall takes you on an unforgettable adventure as you zip line from one platform to the next along a series of steel cables set amongst magnificent natural surroundings. The day is finished off with a nice dinner back at Farmhouse Fitness.

Day 10: Tuesday

A trip to Cape Town is not complete until you’ve visited the endangered (and very entertaining) penguins at Boulders Beach in Simons Town! We will leave Farmhouse Fitness after breakfast and get home in time for an afternoon training session before dinner.

After chilling with the penguins for some time we continue along the coast to Cape Point Nature Reserve, a beautiful protected area with free roaming wildlife and incredible landscapes. We hike to the Cape Point lighthouse and the most South-Western point of Africa; the famous Cape of Good Hope. The spectacular Cape Point Nature Reserve will put you on a natural high for the rest of the week!

Day 11: Wednesday

We know that Cape Town has a lot to offer and that everyone have their own request on what they want to see or do, so after breakfast and training we make our way into the city center and thereon after the day is completely up to you!

Use the popular hop on hop off double-decker red bus to conveniently get around in the city between attractions such as the V&A Waterfront, Camps Bay, Bo-Kaap, Company’s Garden, Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa and District Six.

Head back to Farmhouse Fitness for dinner, or stick around in Cape Town if interested in exploring the restaurants and potentially even the busy nightlife.

Day 12: Thursday

This will be your last full day on your adventure at Farmhouse Fitness so what better way to spend it than by taking a drive to the vibrant holiday destination Hermanus? The route to Hermanus is an absolutely spectacular oceanside drive and is well worth the trip itself. In Hermanus you can go for some exciting sea kayaking or stay on dry land and explore the town. With beaches and lagoons, restaurants and cafes, art galleries and exhibitions it is easy to understand why Hermanus is such a popular place. Additionally, Hermanus is considered to be one of the best land-based whale watching locations in the world since the southern right whales comes and visits annually (usually viewable between June and December).

Day 13: Friday

The time has already come to an end and unfortunately this is where we have to say good-bye. Enjoy the last breakfast with your friends prior to check out and if you are getting on a long flight later on the same day it might be a good idea to prepare by going to the gym for a few exercises.
